Wet Hire or Dry Hire for Arboriculture?

Performance Tower Hire can provide wet or dry hire options. Dry hire means you hire the machine only, without an operator. This is available on our smaller EWPs for arbor work, with working heights below 20m. Any higher and wet hire is necessary, meaning we supply a skilled and qualified operator to take care of running the machine for you. 

For dry hire, you need an operator on your crew who holds the correct license and knows what he is doing. If you don’t have the personnel for that, wet hire is the way to go. Spider Lifts

Spider lifts provide another option where access is restricted or the ground conditions make a truck-mounted EWP difficult to position. We have a Palazzani XTJ43 spider lift for hire, which has a working height of 43m. It’s a very capable machine that’s in high demand, so book it early if you need it.

What size EWP do I need for tree removal?

It depends on the height and position of the tree, the required side reach and how close the EWP can be positioned to the work area. Tell us about your job and we can help identify suitable equipment.

Yes. If you opt for wet hire, you can expect a qualified and experienced operator who is very familiar with the arbour industry and any tree lopping work.

Some EWPs are better suited to sloping or uneven sites than others. Spider lifts can be a useful option for difficult ground conditions, subject to the specific site requirements.

Performance Tower Hire can provide M31A-qualified operators for work near powerlines. This work requires appropriate planning, clearances, equipment and site controls.
